Home Alone Training Course
DLC Training is proud to offer the Canadian Safety Council’s “The Home Alone Program” training course. This is designed to provide children 9 years of age and older with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time. It will help them understand how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations, and keep them safe and constructively occupied.
The program focuses on small group discussions, problem solving, role-playing, and instructor-led demonstrations.
The course material covers such topics as:
- Establishing a routine
- House Key is your responsibility
- Strangers
- Telephone
- Emergencies
- Basic First Aid
- Internet Safety
The Student Reference Book is designed to allow the program participants to actively participate in class assignments. It provides a review of the program material, as well as additional information that will be of value to the students.
Duration 3.5 hours. There will a short break so please bring snacks.
Costs: $60
COMING SOON – An activity add on package which includes a re-useable bag which contains a colouring book with crayons, a small amount of first aid supplies, puzzle pages and other useful activities.
